Life After You

This is a song by Daughtry that I enjoy very much. Not only does lead singer Chris Daughtry have a great voice but he puts so much feelings and emotion into the song it's hard not to enjoy it.
CHROUS All that I'm after is a life full of laughter As long as I'm laughin' with you I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after After the life we've been through 'Cause I know there's no life after you
I love the chorus the most because I think it's so romantic and sweet and if a guy ever sang this to a girl, I just hope he means it. Songs like this shouldn't be written if there's no meaning or experience behind it in my opinion.

HP Lovecraft

I discovered HP Lovecraft (HP stands for Howard Phillip) on the internet. I don't remember which website but I decided to google him. I was intrigued when I found out he was from Providence! On google, I discovered that he writes horrific stories. His stories are too long to put here (and I'm too lazy to read the whole things :P) So here is a quote:
Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent.
This quote is interesting because although oceans don't really make noise, they are not silent either.

Marilyn Monroe

I also don't know much about Marilyn Monroe but I liked this quote:
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” ― Marilyn Monroe
I also believe that everything happens for a reason. I'm a strong believer in karma and what goes around, comes around. These days, it's getting harder and harder to trust and maybe it means that those people are not meant to be in your life. Also I believe that sometimes you have to go through the bad to get to the good.

Music

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. Aldous Huxley
I think quote explains itself. When you can't explain yourself with words, you can use music. How many times you have you felt like a song truly relates to you? I love that feeling because it makes me feel like I'm not the only one. Reference; http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/topics/topic_music.html

Fashion

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. Coco Chanel
I think this is true because ideas from fashion can come from anywhere. Animal prints and nature prints are an example. They are things found outside. Not everything had to be boring or typical. As a person interested in fashion, this really stuck with me because I would like to design all kinds of things from gowns to jeans. Reference: http://www.allgreatquotes.com/fashion_quotes.shtml

Wise Words from a Woman

I don't know anything about Audrey Hepburn but I really liked this quote:
"The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."— Audrey Hepburn
My favorite part is, "The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides." This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. It makes me wish that other people were as open minded and thought the way Audrey Hepburn did and saw a woman's inner beauty. It is also important for females to know that they don't have to wear a ton of makeup to be beautiful. It's what's on the inside that matters the most.

Fix a Heart- Demi Lovato

And I just ran out of Band-Aids. I don't even know where to start. Cause you can bandage the damage. You never really can fix a heart.
I like this song a lot because I think a lot of girls can relate to it and I think it's true. I think Demi is trying to say that once you hurt someone, you can't repair the damage that you caused them because it's not a physical pain, it's emotional and it takes longer to get over emotional pain.
