My meaning of the song is someone who will always protect you and love you even if it means they will get hurt. i love this song because the lyrics are deep and meaningful and if anyone has ever loved someone this way, they can relate to this song.

I like that part the most because it's a great way to say that you will always love someone. Also, girls are always complaining that all guys are jerks but since guys wrote this song, I believe it proves that not all guys are jerks. I personally don't believe someone would write such great lyrics if they didn't mean it.
